The Contemporary Austin Laguna Gloria

The Contemporary Austin is the result of the merger of the Austin Museum of Art and Arthouse, and is committed to bringing world-class artists to Austin. It is located at 3809 W 35th St, Austin, TX 78703. The museum is located in the historic Jones Center, at the corner of Congress and Seventh. The 1851 structure is one of the first three-story brick buildings in Austin, and was recently given a multimillion dollar makeover. Inside, you’ll find multiple galleries on the street level and a massive gallery on the second floor. You can even take a look at the outdoor rooftop deck, where you can catch a movie or enjoy a concert.

The museum also features a lively shop that sells original works from local artists. The museum’s collection includes Renaissance to 20th-century American paintings, Latin American art, Greek and Roman sculpture, and more. The museum also features an annual exhibit of the works of young Latino artists. The art exhibits also feature colorful murals and inspirational messages. The Contemporary Austin Laguna Gloria has two locations: the downtown museum and the lakeside Laguna Gloria. The Blanton Museum of Art is located on the University of Texas at Austin campus and features almost 200,000 square feet of exhibits. The East Side Gallery showcases local and national artists who are pushing the boundaries of art. The exhibitions here tend to be more academic in nature, so expect to find food for thought in addition to eye candy. Jill Schroeder, the gallery’s owner, has a remarkable 17-foot ceiling, 1,500 square feet of exhibition space, and a regular schedule of events like readings and live music.

Visitors will also find an array of sculptures throughout the park, including works by Austin artist Sam Houston. If you’re in town on the 4th of July, don’t miss Austin’s famous Alamo Drafthouse. The theater’s large screen and plenty of comfortable seating make for a memorable experience. It also features the latest films and is the site of many great charity events.

If you’re looking for a relaxing afternoon, check out the Zilker Botanical Garden, a 28-acre park. The park contains themed gardens, including a Japanese garden, rose garden, and cactus garden. You can even catch a glimpse of hummingbirds and other birds in the park’s park.
